Outfit of the Day: Sabrina-Inspired Outfit
Our latest outfit of the day is from Torrid.

I was inspired to put together a Sabrina-inspired outfit to celebrate the last season of “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”. I thought it was their best season. It is a shame that it was the last one.

The velvet lace-up top is from the Betsey Johnson collection done for Torrid. The skirt is also from Torrid. Tights are from Snag Tights. The headband is so old, I have no idea where I got it, but click here for a similar one.

The skirt is from their Sabrina collection, and if you look closely, you can see Salem on the waistband. I love the bustle-like details on the side of the skirt. I also love that it is not sky-high, like Sabrina’s skirts tended to be. I’m a 53-year-old witch and not a teenaged one after all!

So, click on those links to shop this look. Enjoy!

Find It Here: Halloween Decor
It is finally, FINALLY Halloween decorating time!

Well, to be honest, I decorated the last weekend in September, but for most normal people, it is time to decorate for Halloween.
Here are some great pictures of our Halloween decor and some shopping links to peruse and buy some great decor for your own lair.
The moon “wreath” is from Spirit Halloween. The black dragon is from Big Lots. The little green one is from Michael’s. The cauldrons, broom and doormat are also from Spirit Halloween. The funkins are from Michael’s.
The items on the mantel are mostly from Target, but some are from Michael’s and Dollar Tree. The ghost light, bat light and reaper figure are from Target.

The google eye figures, cauldron and witch hat light are from Target. The glitter pumpkins and velvet pumpkin are both from Michael’s.
Not all items are available anymore, so our shopping links are to each store’s Halloween Store pages so you can go from there. If I find specific links, I will put them in the picture descriptions above for you.
Happy Shopping!

Outfit of the Day: Hogwarts House Dresses from Her Universe
Our latest outfit of the day comes from Her Universe.

Recently, Her Universe released a brand new Harry Potter collection with items for all the houses. There were also a couple of items part of their Our Universe collection as well, including lightweight house robes that are way more comfortable than the ones sold at Universal parks.

It is difficult to find pretty Hufflepuff wear, so I snagged this dress when I saw it. The yellow isn’t too mustard-y (not a word, but well it is now). The length is also fantastic!

I also love the house patches on each dress. The fabric is nice and stretchy, but still holds its shape.

The dress is available for each house in standard and plus sizes. Get your own by clicking on this link. Dresses are also available at Hot Topic.

Outfit of the Day: Witch Dress from Retrolicious
Our next outfit of the day is the witch dress from Retrolicious.

I absolutely love the print on this dress! The witches are adorable.

I recently picked this dress up at Retrolicious’s warehouse sale, but you can visit their website by clicking this link.

I paired the dress, which is sleeveless, with a cropped tee from Amazon. Click on this link to buy. Photobomb below courtesty of Benji!

Outfit of the Day: Pin-up Wand Dress from Unique Vintage
For our latest outfit of the day, I have my pin-up wand dress from Unique Vintage.

This dress, to be honest, I thought was “too much” when I first saw it in photos. However, once I saw the dress in person, I really liked it.

I also chose to tie the neck tie in a Windsor knot instead of a bow. I think it gives the dress a little nice edge.

The dress is available in all four house colors. Click on this link to get your own.

I paired it with some comfy chunky sneakers from Skechers. Click on this link to get yours.

Outfit of the Day: Rockabilly Hogwarts
For our latest outfit of the day, we have a rockabilly take on Hufflepuffs and Slytherins.

We took these latest outfits out for a day at Hogsmeade Village during the holiday celebration at Universal Studios Hollywood.

This is a simple stylized cosplay that you can wear everyday if you want. I wear the pieces separately depending on where I’m headed. Ladies, you can add a bandana to your hair-do to add to the look.

Jackets are from Hot Topic. Pencil skirt and scarf are from Amazon. Scout’s bandana is from Amazon.

This is really an easy cosplay to do. If you want to get started cosplaying, I always say that a good mash-up or stylized cosplay is a great way to get going.

Please send us your own ideas for stylized cosplays. We love to hear from you.

Outfit of the Day: Hogwarts Bound Part 2
For part 2 of our Hogwarts Bound outfits of the day, we went in two different gender directions, but stayed in the dapper bound family for each look. All photos taken by Justin Davidson Photography. Book him here. You’ll be glad you did!

My dress is from CowCow. I really love this site. They have several different cuts and any kind of print you can imagine. You pick the print and the cut, and they make the dress for you. The delivery time is not very long (a couple of weeks) and the price is more than reasonable. Also, size inclusive! I’m wearing a size 3XL in the Cap Sleeve Front Wrap Midi Dress in Yellow Stars Print. Click on the link above to order your own.

This dress is so comfortable and versatile. I wear it to work, to Universal and out all the time. I love it! The print is perfect for a Hufflepuff like me or really any witch, to be honest. Regardless of your House.

My fascinator, Time Turner Necklace and gloves are from Amazon. Click on links to order. Shoes are a DIY that I will be covering in a later post. Wands from Olivander’s.

Scout’s vest is from Goodwill. Bow tie is from Amazon. Coat is my Deathly Hallows coat from Hot Topic. Button down from Amazon. Click on links to purchase.

Please share your pictures of your favorite bounding outfit with us. We love to hear from you! We love it when witches and wizards are hiding in plain sight.

Outfit of the Day: Hogwarts Bound
For our first post of the year, we present our new Hogwarts Bound outfits of the day!
As you can see, these outfits are unisex. They can be as feminine or as masculine as you want. They can both be worn everyday. This is actually one of my favorite work outfits right now.
Photos taken by the amazing Justin Davidson Photography. Please book him here.
Ties from Spirit Halloween. Vests from Goodwill. Button-downs from Amazon. My skirt is also from Amazon. Scout’s coat is actually my Deathly Hallows coat from Hot Topic. I’m wearing a size 3XL and wear a size 20 for reference. My shoes are a DIY that I will show you how in a separate post. Wands and my bag from Universal Studios as was the location for the shoot.
A special shout-out to the Cast Members at Universal for being so accomodating for all of us bloggers and cosplayers shooting at the park!
