A Trip to Jurassic Quest!

The kiddo and I recently had the opportunity to go to the drive-thru “safari” experience, Jurassic Quest!

It is simply a drive-thru animatronic dinosaurs, but it was a rare night out in the time of COVID.

We had an amazing time, and got some fun pics.

I wore my Dr. Alan Grant bound to the event. Skirt is from Retrolicious. Shirt is from Amazon as is the bandana. Pins are from Wish. Ducky pin from our InPlainSight store.

A Trip to Jurassic World in My Alan Grant Bound

The kiddo and I recently got to go back to Universal Studios Hollywood to check out the new Jurassic World section on the lower lot.

We had a fantastic time! The area was packed! Packed! So, Benji couldn’t even ride the updated ride. Even with the single-rider line (I’m too chicken to go on it), the wait was over an hour and a half! So, next time. Also, the triceratops wasn’t out and about. So, also next time. Now we have an excuse to go back, not that we really needed one.

But, we DID get to pet Tango, the baby raptor…

We also got to meet Blue and give her a command. It was awesome!

I know we looked scared at a dude in a suit, but once you are face to face with Blue, let’s just say it’s a little nerve-wracking!

Notes on Gender References: Let me start with clothes have no gender! However, sometimes I do need to make a gender reference in regards to a piece. I promise the only reason I say, "ladies' boots" or "men's pants" is to let you make note of what department I found them and for sizing. This tends to happen mostly with shoes. You'll be shopping on a site and the sizing listed will be men's for a pair of boots. I own several "men's" pieces in my closet because it does not matter. What does matter is that you guys get the size you need and not an unpleasant surprise when a piece arrives and the sizing is all wrong for your body. This site is for all humans, and I want you to feel welcome. If there is ever anything that I write that gives you pause, please let me know so I can fix it and do better.

Kim Henderson McAndrew is an author and blogger known for her bold, self-proclaimed nerdy style and ability to combine cosplay with everyday fashion. Recently, she has begun to integrate goth and kawaii pieces into her wardrobe.
