The Disney Dress Shop is a fantastic source for dapper and vintage looks for all the Disney fandoms.

They are also size inclusive, so everyone can have fun with fashion. The fit is true-to-size as well.

The Dress Shop also has ties, brooches and bags to accessorize your look.

Here are some of my favorite dresses from the shop.

Outfit of the Day: Aristocats Dress by The Disney Dress Shop
Our latest outfit of the day is the Aristocats pin-up dress by The Disney Dress Shop.

I love the style of this dress so much!
The color of the dress is my favorite part. I just love that the designer embraced the pink and ran with it. The detailing on the skirt is also so beautiful.

Like all Disney Dress Shop dresses, I love the fit! It is a very fancy looking dress, but as comfortable as a t-shirt. And…pockets! I also love that they added sleeves to this one. I hope they continue this trend with the new dresses.

Pick up your own dress here. The blue acrylic bag and shoes are from Amazon. Sunglasses are a lucky find at the dollar store. Click links to purchase.

Outfit of the Day: Dragon Dress by Retrolicious
Our next outfit of the day is my new dragon dress by Retrolicious.

Recently, Retrolicious had a warehouse super sale, and I cleaned up. I really like their take on the “new look” with interesting fabrics. They do have some great mid-century staples, like polka dots and bold colors, but to have a swing dress with dragons all over it, or witches or dinosaurs, really opens up your creativity.

Nerd girls everywhere should check them out. Click here for their website.

I’m wearing the dragon dress in a 3xl. They are true-to-size and have sizes up to 4xl available.

I paired the dress with a cropped tee from Amazon. Click on this link to buy.
Happy shopping!
Until next time…

DIY Saddle Shoes
I’ve talked a lot about these DIY sneakers as of late. It is about time to show you how to make your own.
You will need:
- Shoes
- Fabric Paint
- Paint Brush
First, the shoe. I have arthritis in my right knee, which makes walking a lot difficult. So, I found a great walking shoe from Skechers. Get your own with this link.

Now, the fabric paint. Click on this link to get your own. Lastly, the brush. Click here to get your paint brush.
Now, basically a saddle shoe is just what the name implies. It is a shoe that looks like it has a little saddle on it. You can get any color shoe and any color paint and just go bananas if you want to. There are no rules here. You can match them with your outfit. You can get a very inexpensive shoe if you they are for a one-off costume. You can find very inexpensive sneakers in a variety of colors just about anywhere. I chose my shoe because it was super good for walking all day.
So first thing, you need to chose how big or small you want the saddle to be. Choose a natural line on the shoe to mark it. Like in the pic below:

You can see where the stitching makes a guide line for me to paint.
Then you just put a coat of paint on the shoe, wait a day and do one more and you are all set!

And there is the finished product! They turned out great, and have saved my feet at a number of adventures since.

Happy painting!

Outfit of the Day: 50s Dress by Steady
Our next outfit of the day is by Steady.
This dress is a lucky find at the Dapper Day Expo last month.
Steady Clothing has a great selection of items, and they are size inclusive!

I love the fit of this dress, not to mention the print. Who doesn’t love 50s spaceships and robots?!
I added the black belt myself, but I was thinking a bright color belt would be great to add a pop of color if you have one.

Clothing companies like Steady make it easy to incorporate dapper into everyday. Happy shopping!
Love, Kim and Scout
